If you really want to know if they are fitted go to a tyre place get them to break the bead on a wheel and physically look probably cost £10 for that or you can buy a 433mhz TPMS detector.

I ordered the grey TPMS tool (the one with a green button) which arrived this morning.

I was only able to pair the front left tyre. While it was asking to pair front right, I checked the rear tyres but they also didn't pair (hopefully there is no issue trying to pair rear tyres while it is asking for front right).

So this paints a clearer picture. Either the owner didn't want to replace 3 sensors or the garage disabled TPMS in IPC to prevent the fault. Nonetheless, time for new sensors.

That won't work I'm afraid. The sensors remain 'asleep' in storage to save the battery. They get woken up by the pressure inside a tyre.

That's a shame, I thought it was possible as this video shows pairing the TPMS sensor outside the tyre. Skip to 1:15.

You're welcome to try it. Maybe there is another way to wake the sensors that I'm not aware of.
