Hi all, I wonder if any 1 can help

my fiesta s reg has a standard dash board (not digital) and the fuel needle is constantly on full,we have made do by pressing the trip and running to millage restrictions we put on how much in pounds we put in , i was told to give the tank a bang with my hand and even jack the car up :blink:

could this be the float ? if yes how do i go about finding the location of were it is

    it could be the sender unit in the tank or the wiring to it earthing out,if you remove the wire from the sender unit and the gauge drops the sender is faulty,if the does not drop look towards the wiring,if i remember right these are accessed under the rear seat there should be a panel you can remove.
