Survival In A Hi Tech World Of Mamon

Featured Replies

O.K. it's quite simple. politics and money are trying to put the blame for everything bad on the elderly.

(read THE MATERISE CONSPIRACY) So I've been driving happily for 45 years and now I am reduced to a 1989 escort 1.4 hatch back. No problem. Fine. except for one thing. The are stealing parts from it???????

I am now short one carburetor and most of the ancilery sensors. Of course no one believes me. (I am an old ).

So why am I here? Well as a resident of the U.K. I am hoping that someone might help me keep this modest vehicle on the road. I need a good reliable source of "new quality" parts. Particularly at the present time a 28-30 DFTM carburetor. ;)

Welcome to the Ford-Owners-Club! B)

That post was rather different from the usual ones we get here I must say!

i can understand why the carb was nicked, there rarer than hens teeth, as for a new carb i think the 28/30 has been discontinued,so you may have to try one of the online breakers yards for a used one and then get a service kit for it(you can still get them).
