Flashing Air Bag Light - 4X Then 2X Focus Tdi. Can Any One Help?

Featured Replies

The 'Air Bag Warning Light' on my MK1 Focus TDi has just started flashing in a sequence of 4 then 2. The light came on when the ignition was switched on and then after a short while the light remained on.

Does any one know what may be causing this fault code and how to remedy the fault?

Wito

it is actually flashing a code,Flash code 42 is the front crash sensor circuit. the sensor should be around the front of the radiator, check that the connections are clean and sound.

Hi,

I am having the same problem as you Wito.

I have a focus mk1 petrol. The airbag light came on yesterday, 4 blinks followed by 2 blinks. This happens 3 times and then the light stays on.

Did you or anyone else manage to solve this problem and if so, how?!?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
