How Can I Adjust The Rear Wheel Camber On A 1800Cc Focus

Featured Replies

hello

i have a 2001 1800 focus and i was wondering how do i adjust the rear wheel camber.?

can anybody help me please.? thanks.

Not all cars would be adjustable.

However if it is adjustable the adjustment would be on the joints where the arms for the rear suspension connect to the underchassis of the car. There is basically a bolt in an oval hole (this is a very crude description) and as you loosen and twist etc it either pulls it in or pushes out, adjusting camber. Please anyone correct me if thats wrong.

BUT, word of warning, i would suggest you DO not try to adjust it unless you have had experience of doing so before or have a professorial and expensive laser alignment kit.

You can easily get it wrong, and Ford spent 10s of thousands getting it right so the car would be stable and handle well so if all is well, dont touch it!

By looking at your avatar, i imagine you want to go for that "Euro" look, that wrecks your tyres.

As far as i know there is no rear camber adjustment, i think you would have to buy adjustable rear arms to adjust this.

I know Area Six do adjustable arms for the front but you may have to ring them to find out if they do anything for the rear. Its not cheap either
