mk4 fiesta rust repairs

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just recently embarked on my first project involving my now off the road fiesta.

I have had the car fo like a year now and despite the usual endura engine problem the car has been through hell and back and still kept me safe lol.

Any way it has been accumulating some rust for a while and took it off the road recently because their is no sense in paying for an mot when i know its going to fail. So i took it upon my self to stick it in the garage for now undertake most of the repairs myself with some help from friends and family.

Their is probs a lot of welding and cutting involved but that doesnt bother me as im quite handy and i know heaps of decent welders too. My main concern with regards to fixing anything is the floor. i have taken out the seats, carpet etc only to find a few rusty bits underneath and a few holes. My main question is how i should go about patching the bad bits of the floor PROPERLY. For added info the rest of the interior is fine as in the main framing etc.

Look forward to hearing your advice

Ross
