Hi,do I have a cam belt or chain on my titx estate auto diesel 2008?

a 2008 mondeo diesel will be the mark 4,i thought the 1.8 engine went back to using a cam belt and the 2.0 uses a mixture of a cambelt and chain driven camshafts.it was the mk3 which used a chain in all models.

found this on wiki........... Camshaft drive: exhaust camshaft is driven by a belt; inlet camshaft is driven via a short timing chain from exhaust camshaft. The belt is to be renewed every 10 years / 125.000 mls / 200.000 km (or earlier as voluntary measure of precaution) so it looks like it has both...... :blink:
