Clutch Gearing And Grinding Problem

Hi my ford focus makes a horrible grinding noise usually more prevalent in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears, and terrible in reverse. Also when on any kind of hill and at standstill it will struggle to pull away often jerking off, and sometimes stalling, reverse gear also seems to have trouble getting any power and the accelerator is needed even on a flat road.

I have it booked into a garage but was just wondering if these symptoms sound familiar to anyone.
