Mondeo Mk3 Rear Brake Bind

Hi all,

Anyone else had issues with the read brakes binding on a mk3 mondeo?

just fitted genuine discs and pads to my ST today and seem to have a few issues. first of all i cant get the handbrake adjust properly and it appears the handbrake lever on the caliper is not returning to within 1mm of the stop. secondly, due to the binding, although its not major my wheels are getting a bit warm.

When i apply and release the handbrake, the handbrake lever comes back to about 5mm from the stop, but even loosening the adjuster doesnt help and it doesnt hold on hills very well. i can push the handbrake level back by hand until it hits the stop.

As i need the car for work im going to fit 2 new calipers and cables and see how it goes. caliper slides all appear to be ok.

just wondering if anyone else has encountered this?
