Dashboard Rattle

Featured Replies

My mk6.5 Fiesta 1.6 TDCI develops an intrusive rattle as engine speeds close to idle. At idle it is OK, but depress the clutch, it starts clattering. The noise sounds to be coming from under the dash towards centreline.

Anyone got any ideas?

Tryed tighting up screws in dash yet??? Maybe put some washers in with screws.

So, I was looking under the bonnet and heard a similar but quieter noise. Pressing down on the engine cover (with TDCI) moulded in, made it go away.

Got someone to sit in the drivers seat "dashboard rattle" goes away.

A chock under the front edge of the cover did the trick.

So, anyone got any professional ideas how to make engine covers become quiet?
