Whilst I love the look of the new Fiesta I'm still not sure about keeping the Fiesta name. The Escort went on to become the Focus (sort of) and the Sierra finally morphed into the Mondeo. Isn't it time the Fiesta named joined Escort and Sierra in the Ford sky and make way for the Verve? The new Verve, sorry Fiesta, has grown into a very impressive car and whilst I'm not knocking the previous generations of Fiesta (and I'm certainly not) I personally think it was time for this new brand image to fall in line with the current kinetic thinking of sharp, edgy and dynamic style.

If I get the chance to peel of the Fiesta badge and replace it with a chrome Verve one I probably will. But then again it's the wife car and she'll probably hit me again.

Same could be said for the escort though, and you have a valid point truly - Mark however is probably right.

The fiesta is such a radical change they should of went with a new name imo.

This Fiesta is so, so different to all that have gone before it, and the way the Sierra went and Mondeo came, and the way the Escort went and the Focus came Ford have missed the chance to re brand the Fiesta, in my view it should definately have been re-named and what a great opportunity to do it, I understand everyone knows the Fiesta brand but think they could have got away with it.
