Key Fob Programmed, Key No Longer Starts Car?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've just programmed a new (ford) key remote to my car and the key no longer starts the engine. Luckily i have the (blue) master key which still works. It's a mk3 mondeo 2001.

I followed instructions: 4 x ign on in 6secs pushed button on new remote and button on existing remote. Both remotes work fully. It's just the everyday key the remote slides onto that has stopped working (won't start engine).

Anyone got any idea why key has stopped working and can i fix without a visit to the dealer?

Thanks

Ant

Search for a site called Mirez.

They have pointers for programming mondeo keys on there.
