Friends Fiesta Alarm Wont Stop Going Off!

Featured Replies

A friend has got an n-reg (1995?) Ford Fiesta Ghia 1.25 5 door

Whenever he parks and locks the car, within a few minutes the alarm will go off - after a few mins it willl shut up and the Hazard Lights will stay on permanently - if anything touches the car (i.e. the GF's bag on the bonnet) the alarm will go off again.

So far he's had to leave it unlocked when he parks anywhere so as not to look like a total tool.

Does anyone know what he could do to fix it? Either what might be causing this - or what he could do to disable the alarm so that he could just park and lock his car in peace...

And before you ask - yes i'm a traitor with my pimping Proton

Thanks,

Jakg.

anyone?

On VW Golf's this can happen because the rear window washer jet is leaking down on to the boot lock and messing with the alarm.
