How to remove High rear Brake Light on 57 plate Fiesta 3 Door Style

Featured Replies

Good Evening All,

First of all my first post on this wonderful forum - so please be gentle and hello to everyone :)

So down to the query I have:

I Went to Tesco's Car Wash today and my car is lovely and clean. However, when I got home to get the shopping out of the boot I noticed half the red housing has broken off the rear high brake light exposing the light strip behind.

So, I rang up the dealership to see how much a new red panel would be. They checked and stated the whole unit would need replacing. I nearly fainted when they quoted £61 + vat and this didn't include fitting!

Looking on ebay I see you can get replacements LED clear brake light for as little as £30.

What I would like to know how hard are these to fit (they state its simple) and does anyone have a step by step guide on how to do this? I would be very grateful if anyone can help.

Many thanks,

Mark
