Strange Engine Noise - Ford Mondeo 2.0 Glx (1999)

Featured Replies

Hi All.

I've been getting this strange noise coming from the engine of my Mondeo 2.0 GLX. It started about two weeks ago and only happens after I have been driving for about 20 minutes and the egnine has warmed up.

Please take a look at the video below. If anyone has any ideas what it could be I would be very grateful. Please excuse the dark picture, I had to catch it while in a local car park and in a bit of a hurry.

id say a vacuum leak of some kind.or an actuator stuck etc. process of elimination. get it diagnosed by a good mechanic with a good diagnostics kit. He'll be able to switch these things on/off

actually, you might be better off going to Ford,as their systems are tailor made for this kinda thing
