RPM Dial Hovering Above 0

Hi guys

When i start my car (fiesta finesse 1.25L) and leave it ticking over the RPM (rev) dial hovers at 1 and sometimes slightly above, it should go down to zero but doesnt, only when switched off.

Is this a bad problem?

    this is normal as it shows the revolution of the engine. hense it goes to zero when switched off.
