roundboy
hello im very sorry if this has already been asked but i cannot see it anywhere on forum. The 12v cable in the boot how would i go about using this for the amp is there anything special i will need to do? Many Thanks
salsheikh
Matthew i wouldnt use the 12v feed in the boot - its not big/thick enough to power your amp. Best to run a decent 4awg cable from the battery to power up your amp. Feed the wire through the grommet in the bulk head into the car and then remove the plastic sill covers and tick it into the space and into the boot. I will be running a 0awg cable to mine when i get time (to replace my 8awg cable)
artscot79
as above the cables nowhere near enough to power an amp safely

salsheikh
Anthony i taped my cable to a long screwdriver (thin stick/bamboo stick would do) and then feed it through the grommet until you can see the cable and job done.
vince_13
i have done this myself too and found it difficult, but with the fuse box dropped down, pull back the creamy coloured foam insualtion and you will see the gromit
stef123
If the cable is tight to push through the grommet, a bit silicone grease will help.
