I have cleaned my inlet manifold and found a split in the pipe that goes from the inlet manifold the small bend one

Where is best place to get ford want £45 or is there a way to repair myself as temporary

£45 is a good price if thats all your going to pay!

Thats a good get you buy! duct tape is very good at not combusting so it should hold out :)

Patched it with a bit of a tyre then wrapped a thousand rolls of duct tape :)

Difference to the engine as u know I've had a lot of power issues

It will, basically the air / fuel ratio is upset because the air is leaking out under pressure, thus it burns more fuel with less air given less power and stability.

I had the same issue, my intercooler pipe cracked. I put my foot down and the symptom for me was black smoke clouds out the back of the car. The diesel wasnt burning, so just puffed out the exhaust, the car had less power than it should and wouldnt move as quick. Fixing it made a lot of difference. In essence, between the pipe, EGR blank and a basic service, my car gained 20BHP! (see my signature below for before and after). that was no effort in trying to boost the power of my car (or should I say, restore it!)
