Climate Control

Featured Replies

hi all, i've looked at post relating to my issue but none quite seem to match it, so looking for some guidance. I've got an 06 mondeo st tdci, with the satnav screen in the centre console, i believe its the cd132 system, mk3, has one large volume knob at centre bottom of the unit, with all the climate control buttons around it. The screen works fine, and will rotate through all the systems, radio cd satnav etc, but when i get to climate control, it says climate not available, ignition off, even though the engine is running. none of the buttons work, and having read some of the posts relating to this, thought it worth mentioning i have no cruise control, or heat in the drivers seat either. I have been through all the fuses, and found none blown. After the car has warmed up and i'm moving, i can feel warm air coming up through the screen vent, but this stops when i stop. can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this.

cheers

Check the fusebox and make sure all the wiring is secured in place. It could be that one of the harnesses isnt sitting tight!

ok i'll do that, didn't think of the loom behind, just find it strange that the display works but not the buttons around it

ok, so all the fuses and the harnesses to it are all secure. Dont know if this helps, but just to clarify, all the buttons are lit when i have the lights on, and give an audible beep but dont do anything, also the message i get is "ignition off, no climate available". any other ideas, my nads are freezing

Sounds like its lost contact with the ECU... If the wiring is secure there, next job is to disconnect the battery, disconnect all wiring and harnesses from the fuseboard, and reconnect it, and double check the fuses for the system.

ok guys, thanks for all the replies, unfortunately nothing worked, all wiring secure and fuses ok, interestingly , with the self diagnosis, nothing happened, no response at all, is it possible the display unit itself is faulty
