Advice On Car Battery

Hi all winter is here and the battery is being a bit slow so am i right in thinking i need a calcium battery its for a 2ltr petrol mondeo much advice is apperciated



Its a silver calcium battery you require. All Fords have the smart charge system which eats lead acid batteries.

thankyou for the reply that confirms what i thought my local parts company was trying to sell me a normal battery but i refused it insisting it should be calcium but thanks again

Just to clarify - its all modern Fords that require silver calcium batteries and use the smart-charge system

Like the OPs mk3 Mondeo

Pre 1998 Fords (eg Mk1 Mondeo) may use regular lead acid batteries
