Testing Imv

Is there any was of testing the imv without just replacing it.



Wats the issue ur havin

My car is struggling to start. It turns over fine but just wont fire up. I have been looking on hear and a few ppl have said the imv so just wondered if there was a way of testing to rule it out.

Ok if get a jery can full diesel u can gravity feed the pump all imv is basically a suction control valve it sucks fuel into pump have u ruled anything else out yet

Am I right in thinking the !Removed! pump is at the back left of the engine bay as you are looking at it.

Its 2003 I think mk3 is it.

Is it tdci yeah on front of engine coming out timing chain
