Name your cleaning Stuff

Featured Replies

ALL of my cleaning stuff was nicked last night!:angry: Some sad f*cker broke into our garage and took the lot! But they left the ford suspension springs which are worth a lot more. But now i've lost over £100 worth of cleaning products. Phoned police, they "don't care"

BTW, if the sad f*cker who nicked my stuff is reading this - i have a good idea who you are. Expect a knock on your door soon from the police. I hope they f*ck you up good

thats pathetic mark, i hope u get it sorted, if you know who it is go sort them out mate.

Thats awful Mark! There are some strange people around nowadays but to nick cleaning products is weird. Is it covered under household contents insurance or would you have to get a police incident number to claim? Whatever it was, a crime was committed. They broke into your property and nicked your stuff. The police should care.

In the meantime, look out for the cleanest, shiniest car in the street and throw mud at it!

Keep your chin up :)

well it would completely depend on your budget.

If you have £65 to spend on wax then i would always recommend supernatural. it is a fantastic wax for its price range giving the same results and much much more expensive waxes.

If you want to go for one of there hard waxes at around £35 then i personally use blue velvet, i use this on my own car (panther black) and i have used it on my dads car which is deep red and it gives great results.

However it is not just the wax, i would really really recommend get a 250ml bottle of lime prime lite so you can try it out, its a great product and gives a deep shine and a good base for waxes to go on. If you do get it then just wipe it on one panel at a time then buff off.

hope that helps :)

Yes thanks, that's great.

I'd love to go for the supernatural as it would probably do both cars but €65 is silly money for me at the moment.

Blue velvet would be OK for Noddy, but would it be OK for mine as I'd originally thought hard candy? :)

Oh Mark, I'm sorry to hear that--some people have no standards do they?

Let's hope that the police can catch them and give them what they deserve......................... ;)

blue velvet is fine for both colours, personally i think blue velvet is as close to supernatural as you can get from the hard waxes they do

That's great--at least it'll save me some wonga now as I can use it on both cars.

Once again, thanks very much. :)

Sorry to be a pain :) You told me banana armour or hard candy for my hot magenta, are you just saying blue velvet so it can also be used on the black ka? Should I get the blue velvet one then or stick to your earlier recommendation?

they can all be used on every colour really.

but yes i was saying blue velvet because of the black and hot magenta together.

they all work really well but my favored choice blue velvet. After giving you advice on those 2 i used some blue velvet on my dads car which is a deep red and it worked very well.

Best thing to remember tho is the wax is only as good as your prep work, so if you can get a clay bar and sum lime prime lite and you will notice a big difference to use washing and then waxing.

I wait till it rains

I doubt the police will catch them as they will have made a "clean" getaway !!!

Sorry to hear that Mark, thats sad and so petty, but if you have reported it to the police they should have given you a crime number, and as the garage is your property they should have sent a soco round to check for fingerprints and stuff, they have a duty to attend if it had been a ring worth £100 from your house they would have been round ,no matter what the items are worth it is still a burglary ,get back on to them and demand a visit

best of luck

I always use autosmart mirror image and then use carnuba wax... takes a bit of time but it gives u a superb finish... only downside is mirror image doesnt generally come in little bottles!! usually 5ltrs... it has a slight cut and is used by alot of high quality valeting companies...

If its hot make sure u do a panel or two at a time or u will struggle to get it back off... carnuba is even worse!!

easy way to try it is do a section with what u have and a section with mirror image and carnuba wax... should give u an outstanding shine and will put most products to shame!

u wont just a pure carnuba wax for your car, It is one of hte hardest things in the world.

All wax companies will put some carnuba wax into there products but its the grade and how muchthey put in it.

Supernatural has pretty much the same carnuba wax content as all the other hards its just better grade.

Carnuba has to be filed down and melted to then be put into a wax with all its other ingredients.

If you dnt want to go into silly money for waxes then id say stick with supernatural!!
