Mondeo Mk1 Seatbelts.

I have just changed both front seatbelts on my 93/94 Mk1 Mondeo. The Haynes manual says that you should remove a stalk cable and grabber assembly from the front seats prior to removing the sea belt fixing front the seat frame.

After looking at the drawing of the grabber assy and the seat for a while I could not spot the cable or assembly so I removed the seatbelt and fitted the new one anyway.

Are there different types of seat belts etc or am I missing something. Any help would be appreciated.
