Basically got amother Ford focus 1.6 2006. It starts first time SOMETIMES other times it take about 2 goes to get it started. Does anyone know how to fix it. I was told by Ford it maybe the hot soak issue but they are charging me to update the car software. Funny thing is I thought updates are free. Like on it phone. Anyone know how to fix it or at least know how to do a update ?

    Full service. I'm thinking it's the fuel filter every 6 months it had a oil filter, oil, spark plugs ngk , air filter. It's had a coil pack , ht leads.

    It runs fine when it has started just had issues starting.

    And yes 1.6 litre. Ford said something about a ecu update about hot soak issue
