Focus Mk2 Hydraulic Clutch Master Cylinder.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Had to remove the supply pipe to the clutch slave cylinder.

Replacing the pipe and pushing on clip it engages and doesn't pull out.

However, when brake fluid reservoir filled the joint leaks.

Does it have an o-ring that needs to be replaced?

Anyone had the same experience with a positive result?

Thanks for the enquiry.

Supply from the clutch to the slave which has a clip.

Done it 3 times still leaks.

Obviously internal seal has failed?

Hey all.

Answer to the problem:

The outlet pipe that goes to the slave cylinder DOES have a tapered rubber seal.

Mine decided to part company - hence the leak.

New pipe/hose assembly solved the problem.
