Mk 3 Focus In Cabin Tailgate Release

Featured Replies

Hi Forum

Just realised does the Mk 3 foucs 2012 zetec trim have a tailgate release button in the cabin ?? my Mk 1`s used to be to the right of the instrument binacle ,but can`t seem to find one .

Do you have to get out of the car to open the tailgate ,

Thanks

You can press the boot release button on the key? This works if the key is or is not inserted into the ignition.

hi Ross,

Yeah thanks was just hoping there was a button like on the Mk 1`s that was hidden.

Been reading on a USA website that there is no button and apparently this has been rectified for the facelift model. It was just if i was picking anyone up and they wanted to access the boot i would have to press the button to open the boot.

update .The number plate light is the button to open the boot from the outside.

strange design would have liked a button on the dash.
