Parking Aid Switch

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just taken delivery of a new frozen white Zetec S. On the instrument panel there is a button that lights up, which according to the manual is for the parking aids. I don't have rear parking sensors, so I was wondering if this switch actually does anything.

Thanks in advance

John

Do you mean the buttons under the A/C controls?

As far as I was aware, they didn't fit the button if there were no sensors.

Yes that's the button the one lit in this picture. I definitely don't have reversing sensors

(I checked the rear bumper, thinking I may have got a freebie, but I can't see any)

Thanks

John

That's the auto stop-start system

i.e. what turns the engine off when you are at a stand still :)

EDIT:

When it is lit up, it means the system is disabled, so the engine will keep running

Thanks for that
