i need a replacement of this arm, anyone know where i can get one please? bonnet wont open without it therefore its left up!!! oh dear.

You need to buy the full latch latch assembly.

Thanks for the reply, however thats a different kit, im not sure why my car has this version of the lock mechanism, That is a picture i found on the internet, the only picture that shows what mine looks like!

I'll have a dig on Microcat for you later on.

I know there are two types of link, a solid rod one like that and a bowden cable type (most common).

Ford list the part as 'Kit, Sliding shaft bonnet lock mechanism' and the part is Finis number 1355231 and about £45.

With that you should get the full mechanism including a new lock barrel (as in the picture below), however as the rod just clips in then all the parts would not be needed.
