Knocking Noise From Brakes

Featured Replies

When I apply the break peddle, going at speeds under 30mph I seem to get a kocking noise on every turn of the wheel. Last week I needed to have both spring coils replaced for the MOT, and now this noise. What have I done wrong?

ball joints, drop links, steering rack.

also check the bolts holding the calipers on, i didnt tighten them when i changed mine and the car make a knock when i applied the brakes and eventually came off and seized the brakes, luckily i was in the tesco car park when this happened..

I would be paying attention to the brake pads if it happens when you press the pedal. Make sure the pads are secure and the linings are still firmly attached to the backing

i had this as well but ford replaced the disks and pads and said the aftermarket pads that were fitted may have been causing the noise all i know is after the change all has been fine
