How To Remove Mk6 Facelift Headlights?

Featured Replies

After struggling immensely to get both headlights out of the car to switch the bulbs, I'm now sitting in a strop!

I managed to get the headlight units out of the car without removing the bumper. Surely there's a much easier way of getting them in and out. Can anyone offer advice on this or refer me to a guide?

with my facelift mk6 ST i just took off the 3 screws holding them in, removed the grill where the ford badge is, just because it made it easier, then just wiggled them out, there is no need to take the bumper off, you do have to fight them a little to get them back in but i didn't find it too difficult, took approx 20 mins

Is it recommended to change both headlight bulbs at the same time?

I normally do, because i always buy different bulbs and one ends up more yellow or more white than the other
