What Is This Pipe Called?

Featured Replies

Hi All

Does anyone know what this pipe is called???

The clip at the top appears to have snapped and i think this is causing the smell of burning oil / diesel into the car as the surrounding area is fresh of oil/ diesel.

Looking at the Hayne's manual I have here it says that hose is the manifold breather.

Does this look right?-

It's an air cleaner hose assembly and about £25 from Ford.

The part code would depend on the reg of your car and the PS value.

The clip on mine has snapped as well, but no noticable oil or smell. What is left of the clip holds it on, just not as tightly as it should. What are the consequences of leaving it like this, can dirt get in or can the system lose pressure (sorry, don't really know my way around what a breather hose is supposed to do)?
