I am new to this and was asking for a bit of help.

I have seen there is a little bit of black tar around injector 3 and it runs rough when its cold in a morning.

If i cycle the glow plugs around 3 times the car starts ok.

I also get black smoke if i proper floor the car in any gear.

Is it a combination of worn glow plugs and a leaking injector.

Check if it's leaking diesel returning pipe, there's tiny O-ring and lockpins that proper service can change. I had same returning pipe leaking problem and local ford service said that o-ring change and that's it. not cost heavens. Don't know in GB but here where i live o-rings cost abt 1.5£ (2€)/pcs. If rough run still continues, it's injetor failure, most of good serviceshop has Diesel injector test bench, so they can confirm will it spray properly.
