im after a rough evaluation of my zs, wondering if anyone could give me a figure to aim for before I speak to Ford

mk 7.5 13 plate 8,500k, I am the only owner

extra's: 17"s, privacy glass, parking sensors

paint / bodywork / alloys are fine, look new still

Going off autotrader, if your selling it to a dealer or part ex whatever, I reckon at a guess your looking at the 12-12,500 figure ?

gonna get some figures for an st 2 or 3 , just got a new job and same cash to play with so gonna see what options I have, its just a maybe though

One less zs for the st crew -_- Hahaa joking I looked into it myself but happy to spend the extra cash on my zs until my insurance calms down.

P.s if you look/ test drive an st, you'll struggle to not work something out to get one, there awesome machines.

yeah I was given a lift in one recently and I really cant talk myself out of trying to get one now lol

trying to decide what the best way of getting one, with ford options whats the optional final payment how does that work? can you use it to get a new plan and a new car? or do you normally have to pay it?

The optional payment is the gmfv, it's what you still owe at the end if you wish to keep it, or you can part ex and they knock the gmfv off what they offer you, therefore using the rest for a deposit on the next car or you can walk away completely :)

I think trade-in value might be a little lower, poss more like somewhere around £11k. Try to keep an open mind though, remember the salesperson can "balance" off any discounts against trade-in value, so just be mindful of the total 'value' of the deal.

And do some reading up on PCP (this is what Ford Options is), before you go - its important you understand finance and what options you will have at the end.

Clarky, in all honesty you'll prob get about 9.5-10K tops for it, but if you want an ST get a 13 or 63 plate with a few K on the clock, it's what I did and saved me around 4.5K from a new one, still mint and no issues with it.

Realistically you'll still be short on about 8K if you buy a new one, but depends on how you paid for your ZS? did you finance any part of it at all? the cost could spiral out of control a little bit.

Can you get a used car on Ford options, thought It was for only new cars? And I paid cash for zs so no existing finance. I'm not hopeful the figures are gonna be doable for me :(

Yes you can, it's just their finance name, it's just a loan provided by Barclays partner finance 4.4% though is pretty cheap. but look at 2nd hand ST's though.

Soo just been in now as I couldn't wait. They offered 11k on mine. Just got a st-2 with style pack spare wheel convenience pack and free parking sensors fitted by dealer. In race red :) it's in the UK and is ready for collection in 10 days. 14 plate brand new . So happy :) 2 year options with 140 per month payments. Insurance is only 130 extra per year. Paying 200 deposit on Saturday and she is mine :)

Thanks mate, I asked about factory builds and he said 12 weeks if I order this week till getting it, and the only thing my St doesn't have that I wanted is cruise control, but it's not essential so not too bothered. Can't wait. Counting down the days now!

yeah 11k , and 9 months lol sad day in a way as I love my ecoboost and its a great car, but the figures were right for me and I can upgrade so I decided to :)
