Was driving on motorway at 80 mph, engine management light came on, engine malfunction came up on screen, lost power. Pull over stopped engine, restart engine problem when away. This is the second time this happened. Also did notice a bit of black smoke from exhaust.

    Get it plugged into a code reader, see if it's stored any codes. Also, when was the fuel filter last changed ???

    My sisters car(fiesta mk7 Eco) had that light come up and kept loosing power whilst driving. We looked at a code reader but nothing came up and swapped the fuel filter again as it hadn't long been changed. In the end she needed a new battery!
