Clutch Help

Featured Replies

Hi all, just wondering if anybody would know why when i press the clutch pedal down in my fiesta it makes a rattling noise and when i lift the clutch up it stops?

Thrust bearing on clutch, should be cheap and easy for garage to do on a fiesta.

No such thing as cheap and easy when it involves removing a gearbox !!!

What I meant was it's not a high performance clutch so it won't cost the earth. Also may I add its a false economy not to replace all 3 items, ie. thrust bearing, pressure plate and clutch plate at the same time. Sometimes it takes quite a bit of time to remove the gearbox so to do it all in one go makes sense, it should only take a good mechanic 4 hours + parts, £250 max I would say.

+1 to the above, not worth taking the box out and not replacing the clutch too.
