Dtc Ignore Or Not?

Featured Replies

Finally got a obd scanner that works today (2nd time lucky) cleared fault codes and went for a run, rescanned to find just one U1900 Network, whilst looking around the net I have come across various opinions on what it could be blah blah, but the the strangest of all is that there a few sites of engineers or mechanics that say you can ignore any U1900 code :o

Any body had this with a focus and had it fixed or just ignored it and had no problems??

cheers fella's

The U1900 code refers to a CANbus communication fault. This code can be caused by a lot of things. Many cars do have this code and most times there is no actual problem. This code can also be generated by a diagnostic interface during diagnostics.

As long as there are no actual problems you can ignore this code.

would agree with that

just plugging into the obd can set this code
