as the title says really, I decided to change the diesel filter on my 1.8 endura van 1week ago, wen I did I filled the new filter up with what I thought was diesel, however about 3 monts ago a large bottle of diesel injector cleaner leaked an I poured it into my diesel can meaning what I put in my filter was about 90% maybe a little more! pure cleaner!! I started the van, it ticked over for about 15secs cut out and now will not start! I then emptied the filter & filled it with diesel but still nothing, I fear the pump!! is there any way to check or clear the system out? any tip would be greatly appreciated?

Probably just needs bleeding/priming mate,,, they can be fiddly at times the 1.8's. I'm pretty confident that will solve your problem.

thanks for the reply, I cracked of 3 nuts on the injectors earlier not the 4th as I could not get to it easily enough, diesel is coming out of all 3 but I couldn't keep it turning as my battery is fcuked and am having to hook it up to my 1.2 punto to turn it over! is this just a case of cracking the nuts of and persevering until she fires up?
