Oil Around Fuel Injectors 1.4 Tdci

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I noticed oil under my fiesta on Monday, it's not localised, there are drops around the engine in general.

I took the air filter and housing off to see oil in the troughs by the injectors. I cannot see any black goo stuff around the seals just oil.

Is this simply a sign to change the injector seals? I thought I would be seeing diesel from the injectors if they were leaking?

Thanks everyone!

Wouldn't always see diesel with a leak, but yes, first port of call would be to have the seals replaced. Its a common problem on the 1.4tdci's.

It's on 102,000 so is probably due them anyway. Thanks!
