2001 mondeo 2.5v6 zetec-s saloon, with 75k on the clock

done a bit tweaking to the mondeo this year , new alloys, lowered, s/s exhaust etc.

yesterday finished upgrading the front brakes to focus st ones & replacing the older rear ones too

went for red, looks cool with the back & silver

story starts

back in feb this year did a quick clean up on the wheel arches after the long winter, arches were in awful state making this very early mk3 look its 13 years of age

few before & after clean up pic,

with new black alloys on, the silver calipers looked boring & as the standard mk3 brakes look small on this car

time for an upgrade, got a pair of focus st front calipers ,which just bolt on the mk3

took them apart & sent for powder coating in red

makes sense now..... i was looking really hard in the pics to see some red.... all's i saw is the jack lmao.... but my excuse only been out of bed for around 15-20mins.... with only 5hr kip..

got some new discs, pads , red brake hoses

painted the edges & hubs of discs in fight to keep rust at bay

today = niceday= get em fitted lol

need to overhaul rear brakes too, the mk3 eats rear calipers, this mk3 still had the ones from the factory 13 years ago so that's good going

got pair of rear carriers & facelift backing plates from scrappers, powder coated these

back plates painted these in ford stardust silver as I did not like silver powder coat silver

again painted discs & new rear calipers in ford radiant red

last weekend had the front focus st brakes fitted, i went all ocd on the arches cleaned, painted etc

looks loads better....... ;)

arches have come up well , from back in feb, even found a sticker still on the back of the gearbox

if you were closer, id say do mine for me..... well the cleaning part anyway..... you've got me wanting clean all mine up now.....
