Flight help

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if the diagram on the dashboard in a 2001 Ford Fiesta Flight is supposed to tell you whether a door or the boot is open? I heard it is supposed to light up and tell you but it doesn't seem to do this. Can anyone confirm whether it is supposed to? I took it to a main Ford dealership and they have no idea if it is supposed to and they want £90 to run a diagnostic on it.

As far as i can remember mine never lit up, but i could have had a blown fuse/ bulb. The best way to check is to nab a haynes manual or pull the clocks out and check the bulbs. Also look at the fuses first to see if any of them have gone.

Lol! I can remember the one and only time I went to a ford dealership for a repair, I new exactly what needed doing, all they had to do was do the work then I pay the money. Went to the desk and the first thing they said was "before we do anything we need to do a diagnostic for £90" all I wanted was a door lock replaced! Obviously I didn't take up their offer...

If you are talking about the car diagram, I am fairly certain its just a picture. in higher trim levels there is a gauge there and no diagram.

Thanks for the replies, chances are it most likely is just a picture. Though would be good to get some confirmation whether or not it should alert you if a door is open before my warranty runs out at the end of this week.

I can confirm it's a picture and doesn't do anything! A shame really because it could have been put to good use.

Thanks for the confirmation. Glad I didn't pay Ford £90 to do a diagnostic on it!
