your probably fine I suspect, perhaps it was a clerical error, and rather than acknowledge it, they just refused to say anything "give him the cash, he wont ask questions and we wont look like idiots"

thinking back i remember him saying i had the option of speed awareness course or fix penalty but i couldnt remember if i had done a course more than 12 months ago but it was, maybe its because i wasnt offered the course on paper?

What was the outcome of this may I ask? I'm in the same situation

Could be someone challenged it on grounds of non calibration so they've refunded everyone caught

Also worth noting there is no requirement to send your licence off anymore as its all done online now for endorsements the paper part is no longer valid and hasn't been for some time. Go onto the gov website and check your licence for endorsements.

That is EXACTLY what has happened to me. Only it was paid into my bank.

i put the email in the search bit of the internet and found a number. They didn’t have a clue! Suggested I contact my bank....

Sounds pretty odd. Whenever something odd turns up on my bank account I tend nowadays to suspect some sort of scam but if they've paid you It seems ok. 

As it's Xmas you've made me hopeful I'll get a refund for the speed awareness course I attended a while back...........!😀
