Front Towing Eye Cover

Featured Replies

Hi I glanced down at my bumper while checking oil and water today and noticed an unpainted bumper part staring at me! The towing eye cover thing was a little too far back, after a great deal of pressing different corners, I got it seated correctly, but couldn't work out how you get it off, there is no slot for a screw driver and pressing corners didn't seem to do anything, how does it come off?

2009 2.5 facelift Zetec, it's a little round disk in front bumper.

Cheers

there should be a tiny screwdriver cutout on it that allows you to pry it out?

Hi, yeah! I think it may be an after market one, there's nowhere big enough to stick a pin in! It's painted same colour as the bumper, better hope the AA send a power lift if I breakdown!

It's not going anywhere! Thanks for the reply.

perhaps try gently prying it off from the side, anywhere on the circumference should allow it to press out that way?

I may wait until I need it, don't trust water based paint that much, just wondered if there was a simple way that maybe I was missing.

Thanks again.

You could pushkin from the underside if you have access?
