Help required

How can I tell what the B.H.P is of my car.

The log book records it as a Focus Titanium 125, (Max net power (kw) 92)

The DVLA records it as 100 B.H.P.

The insurance is more expensive on a 125 B.H.P.

I must admit the car has very little power compared with my old 2000 reg. Focus 1.8 estate.

Are you sure ?. the information is on the drivers side door frame there is a lot of information but I cannot find the B.H.P. I know my close up vision is not good,

I should have explained more, my insurance is due for renewal.

From my car registration number, insurance companies on a comparison web site were quoting me for a 100 B.H.P car, they said the information was obtained from the D.V.L.A.

I must admit I found this odd, but more than one company came up with the same information

The 125 is more expensive so if it is a 100 B.H.P. I do not want to pay more than I need too, on the other hand I do not want to pay for a 100 B.H.P. car and find I am not covered by insurance if I have an accident.

Mine says Focus Zetec S 150, where the 150 is the power output.

The ford web site says the car engine is a 1.6L Duratec Ti-VCT (123PS) _ Sigma

The sticker on my car is different to yours I cannot find 100 or 125 any ware.

It reads :-

Titanium

1.6 Duratec

I assume the 123 PS is the actual B.H.P. is that correct ?, and they round it up to 125

BHP is lower than PS by a smidge

125 PS (92 kW; 123 hp)@6000, 159 N·m (117 lb·ft)@4000
