Lol looks good man see I'm not gonna get body kit in mines now after a quote of 900 to my car just to get it and put on and that's a estimate so I was thinking of covering my plastic rear diffuser with a gloss black wrap and get paint modz other bits added too would look good I saw a car around my area with black rear bumper and looks good!

looks much better with the parts painted and as you say ford should have done that from the factory

Can you just send a plastic part to him and you pay for the job and return post ( heater surround)

I like the look of the gloss black exterior parts 😏 what's the deal with the wing mirrors arms though? The black plastic on them? Can they be painted?

He can do anything just contact Chris and he'll sort you out a price. Obviously it will be cheaper if he can part exchange the bits or if you go to Blackpool to collect but he can post items for you if it's too far.

Got in touch with Chris. Got quoted £50 to paint the engine cover for my 1.0 Ecoboost.

Any idea how I could go about painting it myself?

£50 doesn't sound to bad to me, I'd rather have a pro do it, especially as it's rubber not plastic.

I'd rather have him doing it mate, but it's also a question of, when do I ever look under my bonnet for it to be worth it. It would look class. And I've seen a few engine covers painted.

But I'd also have to buy the engine cover... A costly affair in total. £38.00 for the cover + shipping for the cover + shipping to Chris + him painting it + shipping back to me...

You could order the cover from sico developments who could send the cover to Chris, he does their paintwork.

Stoneacre in York do the exterior plastics, engine cover etc, not sure if they've done a 1.0l cover but might be worth asking for a quote.

I thought of that... thats saving me just one postage price... and I'll have a look some time mate! Cheers.
