Focus 2010 Satnav - Buzz On Usb

Hi all,

Loving my 2010 focus, but theres an issue with the USB port. Its got a Blaupunkt Satnav audio system, with USB input. Bluetooth from my phone works fine and I can play music, but if I plug my iPhone 5S in, the track plays on the phone, and outputs through USB (from what I can see) but I just get a buzz through the speakers.

Any ideas? I'm guessing it only accepts USB Sticks rather than phones but a bit annoying.

    Are you using a proper Ipod cable?

    I believe they are a y output cable, where the ipod is controlled via usb, but the audio is sent to the phono jack.
