Sportka Se Idle Problems Help Please!!!

Featured Replies

Right here we go first of all when you start the car from cold the engine idle sits at 1100 revs and you can drive for anything from 10 - 100 miles and that will not drop but if you drive the car until it's warm and say stop to put fuel in so maybe your not running the car for about 5 mins the idle will drop to about 900 revs when warm so for i have changed the

idle control valve
tps
and throttle body

and the car is still doing the same dam thing it's just not dropping idle revs when it gets warm while you are driving and now i'm a little stuck as where to look next.

any help on this please :)

Has anybody got any ideas on this please.

Hmm could be idle control valve buy I can't remember if you have that or the maf sensor...

yeah had brand new gen control valve so can defy rule that one out but don't think it's the maf also charged tps and throttle body i'm starting to think could it be a connecter somewhere?

More likely a sensor, did you change the pedal sensor?

so here is an update at the weekend had to change the psp power steering pressure switch electrical connector as had a leak in old one and oh my god my idle seems to be working correct now as will drop in revs while driving the car.

Could it have been just this making the problem?

What you need to do is put an adjustable poteniometer (cost $1.23) on the TPS circuit and trim it down until till it stalls then back till it idles slowly.

For the power steering get the pump pressure checked first sometimes it can be as simple as a bit of !Removed! under the relief valve on the pump.
