Nice haul there! I gave mine away to a friend with about 100 or more games! They are still good fun. Hope the children like their new console and leave you to drive in peace on long journeys :)

If I were to have games in my car in the future, I would do something a bit different and have a Raspberry Pi, running Android and wireless bluetooth controllers. That way, any game in the Play Store for Android would be available to load onto the Raspberry Pi. Just a thought.

Sounds good mate,

Easily add a 3G router to the glovebox for online browsing

Lenny did you get your ps2 installed yet? I'm this close to checking out my basket on eBay lol

Not yet mate,

It wont be getting installed until June as part of the big upgrade,

I plan to fit mine as a removable as in it wont be fitted 24/7 so ill be using a 12v cigarette socket adaptor such as this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201216990056

However these adaptors have a problem with unsteady voltage caused by engine rev fluctuation etc.

This fluctuation can damage the PlayStation,

The ideal option is to fit one of these 12v DC to 8.5v DC adaptors and feed it straight from battery to a switch then to PlayStation 2 slim.

See link:

http://www.powerstream.com/dc-ps2.htm

I'm on the fence regarding permanent installation as I'm not sure it will get that much use to justify buying the DC-DC adaptor block.

Hi Arthur,

Welcome to the forums, here's a picture of the PlayStation 2 slim inside the glovebox with the rubber Matt removed from the glovebox floor.

The purpose of this response is to highlight all the options of entertainment prior to you choosing the PlayStation aswell as responding to your question regarding how it looks fitted, keeping this as relevant to in car entertainment as I can.

I had planned to cut a rectangular hole in the back of the glovebox down low,

Feed the cables out through that at rear and under the carpet.

I purchased some 3 metre PlayStation 2 extension cables which would result in permanent connection to the PlayStation 2 inside the glovebox.

A socket would be positioned under the drivers and passengers seat where the joypad can then be plugged in to when the console is being played.

Here are images of those extension cables;

I later decided not to permanently fit the PlayStation 2 to the focus,

So I still have these cables in there packaging aswell as the purchased PlayStation with games,

I had trial fitted everything and it works a treat but I've also fitted a DVR system in the glovebox and 4G WiFi router, the PS2 didnt get enough use in my focus to jusify taking up the space.

I've fitted rear 10" HD monitor which has it's own supply of games aswell as DVD which keeps the kids entertained in traffic.

I'm considering fitting an Amazon prime Stick as there USB powered and connect to the WiFi stream Netflix and other providers on the move.

The DVR recorder is flip mounted to the roof of the glovebox which takes up a little space so the PlayStation was a bit of in the way when not being used much.

Any questions; I'm happy to help,

Also I have the PlayStation 2 here aswell as extension cables if yourself or anyone is interested in purchasing as I very rarely use it.
