Just bought my lad his first car

Ford KAsport 2004 1.6 black with 34k on the clock. Mot'd for 12 months. Found it strange that this was the lowest on insurance for a first time drive 19 year old?

I would like to go over it to check things out - brake pads / oil etc just to make sure the car is ok. Does anyone have any advice on any areas I should check. It has the rust around the petrol cap which is not too bad at the moment and the car is in good shape - few scratches and dents but for 10 yeas old its in very good condition. The sills have just been replaced at the MOT.

It needs a good t-cut and wax to see the real condition of the paint though.

Small parcel shelf cord hook is missing and the catch on the glove box is broke. It has also only got one key which is the master (3 button) are spares expensive and easy to get?

Other than that its a good car (so far)

Any help appreciated
