Aircon

Featured Replies

I have a 15 plate fiesta but my aircon dont feel that cold feels cool but not ice cold, i can hear the pump working and i have aircon on and recirulation on , is anyone elses aircon ice cold freezing or just quite cool

I find it's colder when using the air recirc button.

Some dope needed the gas topping up even on new cars, have the dealer have a look at it.

People not dope, lol.

Get dealer to check it out, as already said could be not enough gas

You should use the recirculation once the air has cooled noticably as it recycles the cold air and takes abit of load off the AC system. Then once the air starts to become uncomfortable turn it off until the air has been renewed :)

Seeing as its under warranty take it back to the dealership. If it was out of warranty I would take it to a local indie that refills aircon the old fashioned way instead of just using an automated machine :)

How long should it take to get cold ... Couple of mins?

Can't comment on your exact year.. my mk6 takes about 3minutes to get ice cold at a standstill even with the radiator fan blowing cold air over it... With the car moving it takes around 40seconds to get ice cold :)

Modern AC pumps are continously engaged during operation and don't click in and out. They now have a variable swash plate or some such.

Hissing for a while after starting is probably low fluid.

My 2011 clicks in and out (well something does when AC in engaged) and it works perfectly.
