Just A Thought On Yearly Parts!!!!!

Ok guys

Got the yearly service stuff from local Ford parts department for this year's service and noticed a slight change in the air filter.

Firstly the box is different last year is shown on the right in the pics and this year's is shown on the left.

Secondly the top end as a Ford motorcarft stamp with the word "down" printed as well and the one last year had the Ford details engraved into it with no word "down" at the bottom. Also on the bottom of the old one it had a small plastic lip that clipped into the air box where the new one does not.

I have tried to show this in the pics attached but has anyone noticed this when they got service parts this year? I was thinking maybe Ford made changes to it or just got a different manufacture or something but It seems to the correct part as I double checked with my vin number upon ordering.

Just a bit strange but I guess it the way things go lol! Was just wondering your thoughts on this and if anyone has noticed this from their local Ford?
